Yes, this is a real event. Yes, it’s gonna be awesome.

In 2011-2012, Prof. Steinkuehler Squire, who co-directs the center for Games+Learning+Society at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, served in the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy (OSTP). She advised on cross-agency efforts to leverage games toward national priority areas (e.g. childhood obesity, early literacy, STEM education) and support a more diversified innovation ecosystem for games. She also played a central role in meetings through the Vice President’s office on video games and violence. Her work continues today on campus, at UW and the WID.

Come early for snacks and conversation!
