Happy New Year! The new year is often a time to reflect on the previous year’s successes and failures, and resolve to do better. In 2017, we successfully started our forensic science policy initiative and organized the science policy event at the Wisconsin Science Festival. Thank you for helping make 2017 a successful year for CaSP. Our New Year’s resolution is continued advocacy for science policy, expansion of our goals and missions for policy education, and providing more opportunities for career and networking events.
In the month of January, we will continue our exploration of energy. This month, we will transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources such as biomass, wind, and solar. As always, make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
As a reminder to all, our first general meeting of the year will be on January 10, 2018 at 8:30 AM (MSB6503). Also, there is still time to enter our letter to the editor competition. Send us your submissions to casp.uw@gmail.com by the 15th of January (put Letter to the Editor in the subject line).
We hope you continue to join us in 2018 for another year of exciting events and provide support for our organization and mission.
